SMOOTH DELIVERY OF 12.5 MW BIOMASS GAS GENERATOR-NPT

 

 

On September 15, 2020, the NPT YC6CN series of biomass gas generator sets successfully passed performance tests such as sudden addition, sudden reduction, full load, and high temperature, and was shipped from Qingdao Port to Central Asia. The total installed capacity of this batch of orders is 12.5 MW, which is the largest export order for biomass gas-fired power generators in my country last year.

Biomass gasification power generation technology is also called biomass power generation system. Simply put, it converts various low-calorific value solid biomass energy resources (such as agricultural and forestry waste, domestic organic waste, etc.) into biomass gas through gasification. After purification and cooling, it enters the technology of gas generator set to generate electricity.Because biomass gas is characterized by low calorific value and high impurity content, the requirements for power generation equipment are higher than other gas-fired power generation equipment. The YC6CN series of products have compact structure, good adaptability and high reliability. They are currently the world’s leading low-calorific value gas internal combustion engine power generation. The supporting gas generator set adopts the most advanced gas electronic control technology, closed-loop lean and high-efficiency low-temperature combustion technology and Adaptive and self-learning technology has achieved ultra-low emissions of CO and NOx.

Biomass gasification and power generation can be achieved in three ways: biomass gasification produces gas as fuel, directly enters the gas boiler to produce steam, and then drives the steam turbine for power generation; the purified gas can also be sent to the gas turbine for combustion and power generation; it can also be purified The latter gas is sent to the internal combustion engine to directly generate electricity. In terms of power generation and investment scale, they correspond to large-scale, medium-scale and small-scale power generation respectively.

The most commercially successful biomass gasification internal combustion power generation technology, due to its small installed capacity, flexible layout, low investment, compact structure, reliable technology, low operating costs, significant economic benefits, simple operation and maintenance, and low gas quality requirements And other characteristics, and has been widely promoted and applied.

In order to ensure the delivery of orders, NPT has overcome a number of technical problems to ensure that the generator set exhibits the best performance under harsh environmental conditions such as extreme heat and wind and sand in Central Asia, and meets the demanding conditions of continuous operation of biomass gas power plants.

In 2018, the first batch of biomass gas-powered generator sets was put into use at the Central Asia Biomass Gas Power Station. So far, the equipment has been running smoothly and has accumulated nearly 10,000 hours of safe operation, bringing huge benefits to local customers. Relying on the characteristics of high product reliability, high power generation efficiency and high profitability, it was finally highly recognized by customers and ordered in bulk.

In addition, Nordic and Central European customers also have a special liking for NPT biomass gas-fired power generation units. Two super large biomass power plant projects with a total installed capacity of 20 MW and 16 MW have reached preliminary cooperation intentions.
