The high-power biogas generator set is the key equipment for the industrialized utilization of biogas. In my country, there are single-fuel biogas generator sets that all use biogas and some dual-fuel biogas-diesel generator sets that use biogas. The working principle and advantages of a single-fuel biogas generator set: The mixture of “air biogas” is compressed in a cylinder, burned with a spark plug, and power is obtained through the reciprocating movement of the spark plug, and then connected to a generator to generate electricity.
Advantages:
①No auxiliary fuel oil and its supply equipment are required;
②The fuel is a system, which is simpler in control than a generator set that can burn two fuels;
③The price of a generator set is lower. The working principle and advantages of dual-fuel biogas-diesel generator set: The mixture of “air combustion gas” is compressed in the cylinder, and the ignition fuel is used to burn it. The reciprocating movement of the spark plug obtains power, and then connects to the generator to generate electricity.
Advantages: ① It can work with liquid fuel or gas fuel;
② It can adapt to changes in biogas production and methane concentration;
③ If the gas fuel is switched to diesel fuel, no unburnt remains in the generator set after stopping work gas.
Disadvantages: ①The work is affected by the quantity and quality of the supplied biogas;
②Liquid auxiliary fuel supply equipment is also required when working with gas fuel;
③The control mechanism is slightly more complicated;
④The price is slightly higher than that of single-fuel generator sets.
